I was born and raised in the North Island with Maori and Hawaiian ancestry. I always wanted to be a lawyer, it’s my dream job and it’s opened up many opportunities. I enjoy listening to my client’s legal issues, problem solving and giving advice.
At school, I loved English, French and Social Studies. And after a couple of years of terrible maths teachers, I had the best Year 11 Maths teacher who changed it all! She had a big impact on my school years. I’m excited for this event because I have a genuine desire to show that you can be anything you want to be, especially coming from a humble background.
If you could give some words of wisdom to your younger self – what would you say?
