I was born and bred in Dunedin. I am of Cook Island heritage from a village called Avatiu, Amuri. I went to DNI Intermediate and then Logan Park High School. My favourite subject was Art. Reflecting on my school years, my family had the biggest impact on me, particularly towards breaking stereo types of Polynesians.  When I finished school, I didn’t know what I wanted to do, so I went on to study at the Otago Polytechnic and it changed my life! My first job was as a ‘Head Designer’ and I now own my own company, where my passion is my job.
